CALATONIA AND SUBTLE TOUCHES

Fernando Cortese

This intriguing healing therapy increases body awareness and provides an expansion of consciousness. It originated with Dr Petho Sandors, a medical doctor and psychologist in Hungary, who devised a subtle and effective therapy to treat the war-wounded, just as Jungian therapy in England was brought in to help the shell-shocked and war-damaged. Calatonia and subtle touches seems to be a synthesis of science and religion. It was developed in Brazil by Sandors, followed by Fernando Cortese and a group of Sandors’ disciples, and taught in Zurich at the CGJ Institute and ISAP. It is an efficient tool, used in association with Jungian psychotherapy and other therapies. Fernando, with Ana Paula Figueiredo, also a therapist in this approach, will introduce this instrument of deep awareness.

Friday evening 6:30 – 9:30, Saturday 10 – 1 and 2 - 5
