The Club was founded in 1922 by close associates of C G Jung. It continues to this day to keep
alive the feeling of community shared by those with experience of a
Jungian analysis and to provide a forum for the exploration of
Jung's ideas and concepts in a non-professional environment.
Under the terms of our 1987 Constitution (Section 3) Full
Members "shall be those who in the
considered opinion of the Executive Committee have sufficient
analysis and personal experience of analytical psychology, and whom
the Committee consider likely to undertake membership with a due
sense of responsibility and also to be able to give a reasonable
attendance and activity". Those who have not been in a
personal analysis may join as a Friend of the
Club.
Before applying for membership,
we ask that you attend and sign for six meetings or seminars (ten if
applying as a Friend of the Club) and that you make yourself known
to members of the Executive Committee. Please include a brief
curriculum vitae, indicating the nature of your interest in
analytical psychology and the extent of your personal experience of
it. Members of the IAAP are automatically granted membership on
application.
